“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”
Stephanie Christian began her education at Western Kentucky University with a major in Interior Design. After moving to Nashville in the late 1980’s, she switched her major to Studio Art at Belmont University.
Her work has touched on many media – from wood sculpture, to charcoal, to mixed media before evolving to her current focus.
Her current body of work, "Abstract Landscapes – a Mixture of Acrylic and Plaster," combines 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional qualities with the subtle strength of color and texture. This becomes more of an expression of the inner self and not from an actual place.
